Korey is a STRIDE patient whose journey goes far beyond managing his diabetes.
After experiencing incarceration and living in a halfway house, Korey has worked hard to rebuild his life. Today, he is working, spending meaningful time with his family and children, and embracing a healthier future.
His story is a powerful reminder that better health can open the door to new possibilities, and that caring for our patients often means looking beyond a diagnosis.
The Road Korey Walked
Where It Started
Incarceration, followed by time in a halfway house: a hard reset, with diabetes management often pushed to the background.
Finding Support
Connected with the STRIDE program and his care team, where treatment was paired with real support for the life around it, not just the diagnosis.
Rebuilding
Steady work, consistent care, and the day-to-day discipline of managing his health while getting his footing back.
Today
Working, present with his family and children, and moving toward a healthier future, one stride at a time.
